Competitiveness of the Port of Bar to be increased

The Freight Forwarders Association Board of the Montenegrin Chamber initiated the formation of a working body within the Chamber, which activities would contribute to opening routes for goods through the Port of Bar i.e. the increased exploitation of the Port by exporters and importers from our the region for transport of their goods.

The Freight Forwarders Association Board of the Montenegrin Chamber initiated the formation of a working body within the Chamber, which activities would contribute to opening routes for goods through the Port of Bar i.e. the increased exploitation of the Port by exporters and importers from our the region for transport of their goods. This would result in the increased exploitation of the Port’s capacity, which would increase the scope of work for all companies associated with this company from Bar. 

The members of the working body are proposed to be representatives of the economy -interested companies from the sectors of logistics, transport, manufacturing, then Railway Infrastructure, the Port of Bar and the Ministry of Transport, it was said at the meeting of the Freight Forwarders Association Board.

The Board also considered Information on foreign trade in the period January-September 2019, logistics activities through the Port of Bar as an export product of Montenegro, the protection of copyrights and adopted the 2020 Board Work Program. 

The meeting was led by Radovan Radulović, Board president and in addition to members, it was attended by the Chamber Vice President Ljiljana Filipović, the director of the CEM Association Department Bojan Obrenović, PhD Deda Đelović, the President of Transport Association Board and Ljubisa Ćurčić, the Executive Director of Railway Infrastructure.
