High-quality tourist offer


High-quality tourist offer, well-developed road and utility infrastructure, as well as organized work of tour operators and tour guides are necessary in order to offer top-quality services to the first large group of guests which is expected on March 25. This message was sent by the Tourism Association Board of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro. Analysis of the tourism sector operations in 2017 and defining successful activities in the preparation and promotion of upcoming summer season as well as the Law on CEM and the dual education information were discussed by the Board members.

After analysis of the positive business indicators in tourism in 2017, representatives of the tourism industry assessed the 2017 season as a very successful one, but also point to a series of barriers, which significantly reduce the quality of offer and pose challenges to the business development in this sector.

The session was led by the Board President Dragan Purko Ivančević. In addition to the Board members, the meeting was attended by the CEM Vice President Ljiljana Filipović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism Damir Davidović, Director General for Development of Tourist Destination and Tourism Infrastructure Ćazim Hodžić, director of the National Tourism Organization Željka Radak Kukavičić, representatives of local self-governments of Tivat, Žabljak, Herceg Novi, Kolašin, Kotor, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Tourism in Budva Ph. D. Rade Ratkovic as well as Ph. D. Ivo Županović, then Nikola Arnaut, a member of  the Transport Directorate and Dragan Boričić, the President of the Tour Guide Association.
