Ranko Nikolić elected president of the Metallurgy Board


The Association Board of Metallurgy and Metal Processing Industry of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro verified the mandates of 23 members and adopted Rules of Procedure.

The position of the Board President in the following four years is entrusted to Ranko Nikolić from the Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy Nikšić, while Slobodan Stanić, REMIDA Vis will be the Vice President.

- I would like to thank you for your confidence and invite you to contribute to the work of the Board thus improving the sector of metallurgy and metal processing industry. I am confident that better days are coming for the sector, due to the positive business trends and investments in our companies - said Nikolić.

In addition to President Nikolić, Petar Vraneš, Gradir Montenegro Pljevlja and Dragan Mijović, Uniprom KAP will represent the Board in the CEM Assembly.

Board members suggested organizing the thematic meetings in order to discuss, among other things, the consequences of the upcoming labor market liberalization in Germany on the Montenegrin metal sector. Businessmen believe that this issue is of paramount importance for the overall economy of our country and the Balkans and that it should be raised to the highest level of decision-making.

The inaugural meeting was attended by the CEM Vice-President Danilo Gvozdenović, the Secretary General Pavle D. Radovanović, the Director of the Association Department Bojan Obrenović and the Board Secretary Marija Milačić.
