Ranko Nikolić new president of the Metallurgy Association Board


Ranko Nikolić, executive director of the Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy in Nikšić, was elected President of the Metallurgy Association Board of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro. The new board members are Živorad Krsmanović, Termoche metalac Nikšić, Vinko Mašković, Areco Sweden Kolašin, Milan Gogić, 7. avgust Podgorica, Goran Ivanović, Metal inženjering Podgorica.

The Board discussed the development and establishment of cluster of metal structure manufacturers in the construction industry as well as the Chamber’s Law and the dual education. These topics were presented in more details to the Board members by the representative of the Directorate for Development at the Ministry of Economy MA Milena Jovetić, Secretary of the Chamber bodies Lidija Golubović and Head of the CEM Education Department Ph.D. Mladen Perazić.  

The Vice-President of the Chamber Danilo Gvozdenović initiated the meeting of the association boards for metallurgy and construction industry with the company CRBC in order to present the potentials of the two sectors to the Chinese company.

Ljubiša Đurković from Toščelik pointed to barriers in the business of the company, while Slobodan Stanić, REMIDA Vis and Draško Tomašević, Zip Danilovgrad expressed the need for adequately trained personnel and a readiness to engage young people in dual education.

The 2017 Work Report and the Action plan for 2018 were adopted.
