Business forum with Croatia

Montenegro and Croatia Business Forum organized within "Creative MontenegroDays of Montenegro in Zagreb",  was attended by over 100 representatives of the business communities of the two countries. Opening addresses were delivered by the Vice-Presidents of the Montenegrin and Croatian chambers Ivan Saveljić and Ivan Barbarić, and the Ambassador of Montenegro in Zagreb Boro Vučinić.

It was estimated that the interest in the businessmen forum represents a confirmation that the business communities of both countries recognize the significant opportunities for cooperation. The two chambers have an excellent cooperation within the European Enterprise Network EEN as well as the Association of the European Chambers of Commerce, the Adriatic - Ionian Chambers of Commerce Forum etc.

The share of Croatia in the total foreign trade exchange of Montenegro in the last five years ranged from 4.7% to 7.3%. Total investments of Croatia amounted to EUR 66.6 million. In the period from January to November, the value of Croatian investments amounted to EUR 2.3 million. Croatian capital is present in many Montenegrin companies. Significant investors are Croatian Telekom, INA, Karisma Adriatic, Ledo and others.

The business forum was an opportunity to define the priority areas of common interest. In addition to infrastructure and energy, emphasis should be placed on strengthening business ties in tourism, trade and agriculture, sectors that have significant potentials for further cooperation between the two countries. The two countries have excellent opportunities for cooperation in transport, construction and IT.

During the business meetings the representative of the business communities discussed the possibilities of establishing business partnerships.
