Contribution of Women Entrepreneurship to the Development of Alternative Tourism

Following the European and world trends in the development of entrepreneurship, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce organized the 11th Congress of Women Entrepreneurs entitled "Contribution of women entrepreneurship in the development of alternative tourism".

Following the European and world trends in the development of entrepreneurship, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce organized the 11th Congress of Women Entrepreneurs entitled "Contribution of women entrepreneurship in the development of alternative tourism".  The aim was to provide a regional perspective with the best practices in the area of economic empowerment of women and the promotion of entrepreneurial activities with a focus on alternative tourism in the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region.

The event gathered numerous representatives of business, the European Commission, the Government of Greece, the City of Arte, the scientific community, experts and analysts of the Adriatic-Ionian region. The participants from Montenegro were the representatives of the Chamber of Economy, private sector and NGOs.

Congress participants have shown great interest in hiking and biking tours, rafting, canyoning, bird watching, Đalović cave tour and comprehensive offer provided by RAMS to tourists during their stay in Montenegro. 

This year’s Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce brought together representatives from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia and provided an opportunity for intercompany meetings during Congress, which provided added value to the regional economic event. The representatives of the business communities from the region and beyond showed a great interest in this Congress activity.

The Congress was followed by the session of the Assembly of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce, which considered amending the Statutes of the Association.
