Cooperation Memorandum with Confindustria


The presidents of the Montenegrin Chamber and Confindustria Montenegro, Vlastimir Golubović and Erich Cossutta, signed a Cooperation Memorandum between the two business associations.

The presentation of Confindustria Montenegro and the signing of the agreement marked the beginning of work of the Italian entrepreneurs association in our country. 

According to the President Golubović, mutual cooperation should result in creating a framework for business synergies in promising sectors: tourism, energy, food and wood industries, information technologies, waste management, recycling and waste water treatment.

President of Confindustria Montenegro Erich Cossutta specified that Confindustria will be engaged in sharing the "know how", the Italian tradition and entrepreneurial spirit. This association was established in 1910 and represents 150,000 companies with six million employees.

Italy is currently the largest foreign investor in Montenegro. In the first nine months of 2018, about EUR 77.7 million were invested in Montenegro and it is the fourth foreign trade partner of our country. The value of imports from Italy amounted to EUR 168.5 million, while the export was EUR 13 million. 

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović, the Italian Ambassador Luca Zelioli, the Mayor of Podgorica PhD Ivan Vuković, and many distinguished guests from the business and public sectors.
