11/03/2019

The President of the Montenegrin Chamber Vlastimir Golubović and the National Coordinator of the Western Balkans Six Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) Balša Ćulafić participated in the meeting with representatives of the German Development Organization (SEQUA), the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK), the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK).

They discussed the implementation of the DIHK project related to building the capacities of the WB6 CIF chambers, in order to represent more effectively a business community of the region, which brings together about 350,000 companies and to be an equal partner in dialogue with the governments.

CEFTA is burdened with duty-free barriers and the region needs a new cooperation agreement, which would adopt all its positive achievements and create the preconditions for the creation of a single economic area.

Representatives of SEQUA, AHK, DIHK were interested in the chamber system in Montenegro and the results of the modernization, the WB6 CIF and regional chambers activities, cooperation with governments and relevant institutions, as well as the role of business associations in the process of adopting regulations relevant to the operation of the economy. As they pointed out, they are open to support the empowerment of chamber capacities, promotion of economic cooperation and overcoming barriers in the Western Balkans through a project.
