Improvement of the WB economic perspectives

The Chamber President Vlastimir Golubović attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Western Balkan Six Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF), the Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) in Vienna.

The Memorandum was signed by the minister Karin Kneissl, on behalf of the Ministry, the President Harald Mahrer on behalf of WKO, and the President Marko Čadež, on behalf of the WB6 CIF. A first step, arising from this Memorandum includes the project activities:

Creation of services for SMEs in the field of digitization in order to address their primary needs in the digital transformation process,

Development of educational and practical training programs based on labor market demand in order to meet their needs, and then the needs of the private sector in the Western Balkans, with the aim of improving employment opportunities.

The project proposal will be finalized by 1 April 2019. In this regard, the WB6 CIF should establish the necessary management structure to ensure the realization of the partnership; the Austrian Chamber should provide knowledge and expertise through its institutional capacity and the network, while the Austrian Development Agency needs to provide their expertise, as well as a financial contribution to the achievement of the partnership.
