Vice President Saveljić at the ABC General Assembly


The Vice-President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Ivan Saveljić participated in the General Assembly of the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC), which took place in Istanbul.

The issues discussed by the Assembly included the current economic situation and trends in the member countries, current trends in the chamber system, vocational education, women's entrepreneurship and the Chamber Investment Forum.

The Vice-President Saveljić presented the macroeconomic indicators of the Montenegrin economy this year and stressed that according to the economic growth in the second quarter of 2018, our country occupied the sixth position in comparison with the European countries, after Ireland, Iceland, Malta, Latvia and Poland.

The chairmanship of the Association in 2019 was taken over by the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Albania.

The Association of Balkan Chambers was established in 1994 in Romania, in order to integrate and develop economic cooperation in the region. Its members are the national chambers of Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey.

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro is a full member since 2003.
