Ambassador Hloben visits the CEM

President of Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (CEM) Mr. Velimir Mijuskovic hosted the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Montenegro Mr. Roman Hloben. During the meeting, they exchanged information on the state of the economies of the Slovak Republic and Montenegro, the current cooperation and possibilities of its improvement. The interlocutors agreed that good bilateral relations should be strengthened in the forthcoming period by intensifying economic cooperation through possible joint projects in tourism, energy and infrastructure. It is necessary to establish the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.

The Ambassador has stressed the success of Montenegro in the European and Euro-Atlantic integration and said that Slovakia will continue to provide support in the coming stages of the process. He has added that our economic relations will be further strengthened through future cooperation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic on the project regarding II Block of thermal power plant in Pljevlja.

The President of the CEM believes that Slovakia, as a developed industrial country with impressive results achieved in the economy, can be a good example to Montenegro. Slovakia has large industrial capacities, particularly in the automotive industry, so the possibility that Slovak investors find partners in Montenegro for joint investments in processing facilities which would operate for the needs of basic industry of Slovakia should be considered. Also, the President Mijuskovic believes Slovak experience can be useful in the further development of business zones in Montenegro.
