Ambassador of Iran visits the Chamber


Vice-President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (CEM) Mr. Ivan Saveljic hosted the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Majid Fahim Pour, and his associates on February 24, 2016. They discussed the prospects of economic cooperation between two countries after the lifting international sanctions against Iran in January this year. 

Mr. Saveljic presented to the guests from Iran general information on the Montenegrin economy as well as the role of the CEM especially in the activities of the development of international economic cooperation of Montenegrin companies with potential partners from abroad.

Ambassador Mr. Fahim Pour says that on the occasion of his visit to Montenegro he submitted the Proposal on mutual protection of investments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The interlocutors also discussed the possible visit of state-business delegations of the two countries organized by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and the CEM next year. They agree that it is necessary to take that opportunity to sign a number of memoranda of understanding in culture, tourism, energy and so on. 

On the recommendation of the CEM, in order to facilitate the economic cooperation, Mr. Fahim Pour says the Embassy of Iran, based in Belgrade, expressed its readiness to issue business visas to entrepreneurs from our country using accelerated procedure, it was concluded at the meeting.
