Ambassador of Mexico in the Chamber

The Ambassador of Mexico H.E. Mr. Marko Antonio Garsia Blanko, with his seat in Belgrade, on 4th May 2018 met the Vice President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Mr. Ivan Saveljić to talk about the possibilities for developing the business cooperation between the two countries.

The Mexican ambassador noted that Montenegro is recording rapid progress in terms of tourism development and diversification of the tourist offer. He pointed out that Mexico is on the eight place when it comes to the tourist visits rate, and that 35 million tourists stayed in that country last year. Also, the rapid growth of this economy influenced the Mexican tourists to increasingly go abroad. In this regard, Mr. Garsia Blanko believes that it is necessary to organize the structured Montenegro's tourism offer in order to attract tourists and foreign direct investments in this sector. He believes that Mexico should sign free trade agreement with the countries of the Western Balkans, in order to promote this part of Europe within the Mexican business community that is looking for new investment markets. He called for a Montenegrin economic delegation to visit Mexico.

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro has been preparing for a long time visit of the economic delegation to the United States, said Mr. Saveljić, and the visit to Mexico could be realized as a part of this business mission.
