Iran Ambassador visited the CEM

During the visit to Montenegro, non-resident Ambassador of Iran to Montenegro HE Hussein M. Abdullahi had a meeting with the Vice President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Mr. Stanko Zlokovic. They discussed the development of business cooperation between the two countries.

Vice President Mr. Zlokovic presented economic and investment potentials of Montenegro, which could be very interesting to the Iranian business community with particular emphasis on strategic sectors such as: tourism, agriculture, energy and transport.

At the meeting it was noted that the inter-state and political relations between the two countries have traditionally been at a high level, but the economic cooperation does not follow this trend. The trade and investment in recent years do not correspond to the real interests and possibilities.

The Ambassador has pointed out that the visa regime between the two countries and the fact that Montenegro has no diplomatic representation in Tehran represent an obstacle for the arrival of Iranian tourists to our country.

The Iranian ambassador has invited the Montenegrin business community to visit Iran Expo Fair, which will be held from 31 October to 3 November 2017 in Tehran.
