The President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Vlastimir Golubović and the Ambassador of North Macedonia Mihajlo Trpkovski emphasized the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

Golubović informed the ambassador about the macroeconomic indicators of our country before and during the pandemic. According to him, this crisis also indicated the necessity of expanding the production base and the productivity of the Montenegrin economy in general. He praised the quality partnership of the two chambers within the Western Balkans Six Chamber Investment Forum and added that in terms of cooperation, the business communities should follow the example of these associations.

According to him, the opportunities for cooperation between the business communities of the two countries lie in the field of healthy food production, tourism, construction and especially in the metal industry.

Ambassador Trpkovski emphasized that his activities would be focused on economic diplomacy and asked for registers of Montenegrin companies in order to help establish partnerships with their Macedonian counterparts.

The interlocutors also agreed that mutual investment activities should definitely be improved and strengthened, because they are at a very low level.
