President Mijuskovic hosted the Ambassador Ikonen

The President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Mr. Velimir Mijuskovic hosted the Finish Ambassador to Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia Mr. Pertti Ikonen and his associates Mr. Mika Vehnämäki, representative of Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and Ms. Siv Ahlberg, programme director of Finnpartnership.   

The meeting was organized on the occasion of joint organization of presentation “Doing business with Finland”, aimed at a number of opportunities for cooperation between Finnish and Montenegrin companies and institutions, with the support of this country to the private sector at growing markets.  

Interlocutors agreed that potentials for cooperation may be achieved in agriculture, first of all production of organic food, forestry, fishery, water production, tourism, especially the health one, as well as renewable energy.

The President Mijuskovic believes that the cooperation may be established in the forestry with Finnish companies producing equipment for wood processing, which show an interest in cooperation. Since Finland has very developed industry, it is possible to develop cooperation in Montenegrin business zones in the field of manufacturing certain parts of the products, which are finalized in Finland.   

The Ambassador has expressed his satisfaction that, shortly after his previous visit, the presentations took place at the Chamber and expects that in the autumn this year the Finnish businessmen will visit Montenegro. He says that the Honorary Consulate of Finland in Montenegro is planned to be opened in 2017.
