UK Ambassador visits CEM


Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Alison Kemp visited the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and met with the President Vlastimir Golubović.

President Golubović presented the current economic situation and the importance of the current projects. During the meeting it was pointed out that even though Montenegro has been recording deficit in trade with the United Kingdom, the cooperation between the two countries is improving. Also, the number of the UK tourists who visited Montenegro is increasing.

The Ambassador spoke highly of the economic conditions in Montenegro, noting that it is the country with the highest growth in the region, as well as the very visible progress in all areas. She commented on the Montenegro-Britain Business Forum, which was held in London in October last year. She stresses that a number of British companies is interested in finding opportunities for investment and accepted the President’s idea regarding the organization of a similar event in Montenegro this year.

Concluding the meeting the President informed the Ambassador of the regular annual meeting with the representatives of diplomatic and consular corps, attended by all institutions dealing with the promotion of the economic potentials and economic diplomacy.
