Ambassador Mocnik visiting CEM

The Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro Mr. Mitja Mocnik visited the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (CEM) and had a conversation with the President Mr. Velimir Mijuskovic. On that occasion, they have commented on the economic opportunities in Montenegro and Slovenia as well as bilateral economic relations of the countries.

Since statistics have shown a decrease in trade between Montenegro and Slovenia, the interlocutors have also discussed the modalities which need to be applied in order to change these figures, because there is a wide range of activities which can be taken to achieve this goal.

Mr. Mocnik and Mr. Mijuskovic have also talked about recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between Montenegro, Slovenia and Turkey, which aims at examining possibilities of joint/mutual cooperation in the field of hydropower in Montenegro. They also talked about the Western Balkans Chamber Investment Forum.

The interlocutors have agreed that the CEM and Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Podgorica should continue to communicate and cooperate in the spirit of already established communication and successfully implemented joint activities and for the sake of economies of the two countries.
