The President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Mr. Velimir Mijuskovic hosted the non-resident Ambassador of Israel to Montenegro Ms. Alona Fisher Kamm. President Mijuskovic says that the volume of trade between two countries is not at a satisfactory level and there are many opportunities to promote economic cooperation especially in agriculture, tourism and energy sectors.
Ambassador Fisher Kam has expressed satisfaction with twice as many Israel tourists who visit Montenegro, which has been contributed by establishing charter Tel Aviv–Tivat in April 2016. Airline companies from Israel have announced more flights to our country, which will certainly result in better connectivity and strengthen cooperation in all sectors.
The President informed the Ambassador about the investment environment, opportunities and investment benefits. He has reminded that the Cooperation Agreement with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, which was signed in 2011, represents a good basis for promotion of cooperation between Montenegrin and Israeli entrepreneurs. He has pointed out that the CEM represents interests of the economy and presented its manner of work and organization, especially emphasising the activities aimed at international cooperation, organizing presentations at international fairs, as well as business forums attended by a number of Montenegrin entrepreneurs.
The interlocutors agreed to exchange information in the future as well as to meet the specific requirements of entrepreneurs. The Ambassador supported the initiative of the President Mijuskovic on organizing business forum of Montenegrin and Israeli entrepreneurs in Podgorica during the second half of 2017.
